Job C. Newcomb (aka Richard/Dick Newcomb) (Newcomb Genealogy #1923) was born 4 Aug 1867 Mattoon, Coles Co IL, son of Oliver I. Newcomb and Lavina Strobel. He married 1st Anna C. White 3 Dec 1889 at Mattoon. He married 2nd Mrs. “Lockie Tourville”, ca 1910-1920, probably in Saint Louis, MO. However, I have been unable to locate a record there. I would like to know the exact date and place of the second marriage. (He died December 1934 in St. Louis City, MO.)

Calvin E. Newcomb (Newcomb Genealogy #1922) was born 7 Dec 1865 Mattoon, Coles Co IL, son of Oliver I. Newcomb and Lavina Strobel. He married 1st Mrs. Ella Point Kennedy about 1894, probably in Montana but as he was a railroad man, it could have been anywhere. I would like to know his exact date and place of marriage. (He married 2nd Bertha Norma Wagner 25 Apr 1915 in Anaconda, MT.) Calvin died 29 Jan 1920 Butte, Silver Bow Co MT.

Nan Jennings Newcomb (Newcomb Genealogy #1920) was born 10 Oct 1853 Mattoon, Coles Co IL, son of Oliver I. Newcomb and Lavina Strobel. He married Mrs. Laura Ann Fenton Phillips about 1887, probably in Missouri. He died 10 June 1926 in Kansas City, MO. I would like to know his exact date and place of marriage.

Lorain NEWCOMB was born 14 Feb 1814, Shoreham, VT, the daughter of Luther NEWCOMB, Jr. (Newcomb Genealogy #363) and Narcissa BABCOCK. She married Michael BAKER. Newcomb Genealogy states she died 22 Feb 1883 and gives no location. She is found in Mattoon, Coles Co IL in the 1880 census (ED 55, page 42, as Laura Baker) living with their married daughter Amelia (Mrs. John Rauch). I wish to verify date and place of death.

Luther NEWCOMB was born 20 Nov 1811, Shoreham, VT, the son of Luther NEWCOMB, Jr. and Narcissa BABCOCK. Luther married widow Mercy Kile in 1848 and they moved to Missouri. In the 1860 census they are living in Jeddo Twp, Knox Co MO. I cannot find them in the 1870 census, though Mercy’s son Silas Kyle is living in Jeddo in 1870. When/where did he die?

John Knight NEWCOMB (Newcomb Genealogy #922) was born 10 Oct 1809, Shoreham, Addison Co VT, the son of Luther NEWCOMB and Narcissa BABCOCK. John and family are found in Birmingham Twp, Schuyler Co IL in the 1870 census (page 22). I cannot find him in the 1880 census. When/where did he die? (Newcomb Genealogy states that he lived in Bladinsville, McDonough Co IL.)

Frederick Larrabee NEWCOMB (Newcomb Genealogy #921) was born 18 Dec 1807, Shoreham, VT, the son of Luther NEWCOMB and Narcissa BABCOCK. Frederick married Mary Avery LUTHER 15 Sep 1829 at Castleton, Rutland Co, VT. Newcomb Genealogy states that he died Nov 1876. Where? Need exact date and place. He is present in the 1870 census of Urbana, Madison Co OH (p. 475) and I cannot find him in 1880.

Amelia NEWCOMB was born 8 Jul 1820, Madison Co, OH, the daughter of Luther NEWCOMB, Jr. (Newcomb Genealogy #363) and Narcissa BABCOCK. She married James P. HUDDLESTON in Urbana, Madison Co OH 25 Dec 1839. In 1860 they are found at Greenup Twp, Cumberland Co IL (p. 760). I am unable to find them in 1870. In 1880 “A. Huddleston” is living in Carlyle, Clinton Co, IL, with two daughters (ED 84, p. 8-D). Clinton County has no record of her death. When/where did she die?
