I get that all the time. It might be a little patronising but it really helped me when I went on Dance Mat Typing : http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/
I don’t type like they tell me to but it helps me learn where all the keys are and develop my style of typing.

My only typing difficulty occurred when the typing class instructor insisted that I use my right thumb on the space bar; however, I could not. Once she discontinued her attempts to “fix” me and allowed me to use my left thumb, I had no further problems typing.

Yes, I do this all the time in my keyboarding class. Usually it’s the y for the t or g for the h. Very irritating and drags my nwpm down!
